Granville Island is a section of Vancouver mostly made up of artisan shops, restaurants, unique gifts and a large indoor public market place next to the water.
For dinner, we chose polish fare from a restaurant called Perogy Place. My dish included a beef cabbage roll, cheese and potato filled perogies topped with sour cream/sauerkraut and sausage.
For dessert, I chose to go to the Bread Shop for a pecan cinnamon roll, a chocolate hazelnut valentine cookie and a chocolate macaroon. The roll was a bit dry but the chocolate macaroon was excellent.
This place was packed. I could barely move around. I think I could have sauntered around the market checking out every food stand for another hour if I could.
